An auction with our pots

Our beloved german forum the "Bonsai-Fachforum" wants to raise some money to finance and stay in touch with the technical future.
We wanted to help them and donated a few pots.
The first one is a nice oval from Klaudia.

Air layered beeches

These two beeches have been air layered this year and I like to show you some pics of today's cut-off.
I started it in 2011 but wasn't sure if it has been successful enough at the end of summer.
These beeches have been collected in an old hedge. The trunks are about 4 and 9 cm in size.

It's getting warmer now and I have taken out the beeches from the winter-shelter.

They have been kept outdoor in a pile of bark over winter.

Today I cut back the branches and roots and planted them in a momentary pot.

The result on these airlayerings are very nice but it's still a long way to go!
