Air layered beeches

These two beeches have been air layered this year and I like to show you some pics of today's cut-off.
I started it in 2011 but wasn't sure if it has been successful enough at the end of summer.
These beeches have been collected in an old hedge. The trunks are about 4 and 9 cm in size.

 UPDATE ........20.04.2013

It's getting warmer now and I have taken out the beeches from the winter-shelter.
They have been kept outdoor in a pile of bark over winter.
Today I cut back the branches and roots and planted them in a momentary pot.
The result on these airlayerings are very nice but it's still a long way to go!

New pots for Werner Busch

We visited Werner Busch at his Bonsaiwerkstatt
and Bonsai-Museum  in Düsseldorf to deliver some new pots.
The weather was fine so we spend some hours there.

A few shots of the workshop and museum.

Walter Pall had a personal exibition at that time.
The size of his trees is always surprising!

The BFF summerfestival

Holidays are over and we like to show you some pictures of the 2012 BFF summerfestival.
The BFF, Bonsai-Fachforum, is Germany's most popular forum.
The summerfestival is held every 2 years and a great place to meet friends and have fun.
This year we were part of the exibition with some of our pots.
Another 6 potters including Peter Krebs have shown their skills.

The exibition was very successful.

A lot of  interesting informations has been exchanged.

"Nice to meet you Peter ...."

A lot more pictures can be seen here.
